Braving the Heat to Secure Delivery: Jinlong Cable's First Batch Successfully Dispatched to Rwanda

On July 23, during the Major Heat solar term, the sun blazed overhead. At Jinlong Cable's headquarters park in Wangcheng, Changsha, the shipping yard was a hive of activity. Workers, sweating profusely, loaded a batch of high-quality cable products in an intense yet orderly fashion. The shipment was soon bound for Africa, destined for Rwanda.
This export shipment covers two major product categories: ABC (Aerial Bundle Cable) overhead cables and steel-wire-armored copper-core power cables. The ABC overhead cables alone accounted for a shipment volume of 467 kilometers. These products will be deployed in the distribution network construction project in Kigali, Rwanda's capital, and the country's eastern region. The project owner is Energy Development Corporation Limited (EDCL) of Rwanda. As a core entity in Rwanda's national energy infrastructure development, EDCL leads the country's electricity access expansion program and the development and implementation of major energy projects. Jinlong Cable stood out among numerous international bidders to become an approved supplier for EDCL, fully demonstrating the company's comprehensive strength in technical standards, quality control, and delivery assurance.
Faced with multiple challenges—stringent international quality standards, a tight delivery schedule, and persistent high-temperature weather—all frontline production employees pooled their efforts, rose to the challenge, and worked overtime to accelerate progress. Rigorous quality checks were enforced at every production stage, with the team striving for excellence to refine product quality. Ultimately, all production tasks were completed efficiently, with both quality and quantity assured, fulfilling the company's solemn commitment to the customer through concrete actions.
Rwanda is located in east-central Africa, with mountainous terrain that has earned it the nickname "Land of a Thousand Hills." The country is familiar to many Chinese people through the film *Hotel Rwanda*. Today, however, Rwanda has moved beyond its turbulent past, boasting long-term political stability and rapid economic growth—making it one of the countries with the best business environments in East Africa. In recent years, its average annual economic growth rate has exceeded 7%, driving strong demand for infrastructure across water conservancy, electricity, telecommunications, and highways. With the in-depth advancement of the "Made in Rwanda" strategy and the steady implementation of "Vision 2050," local power and distribution network construction is entering a period of acceleration, and the market for high-quality cable products continues to expand.
Jinlong Cable actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), deeply participating in infrastructure construction in countries along the routes. Its products have now been exported to more than 40 countries and regions worldwide. This batch shipment to Rwanda marks another important achievement in the company's vigorous advancement of its internationalization strategy.
