On October 19, 2024, the Bereza 3x8.7 MW heavy fuel oil power plant project in Eritrea was successfully delivered to the owner, marking the official start of operations in Asmara, the Eritrean capital's largest energy construction project in 35 years. The three 8.7 MW heavy fuel oil generators and their supporting facilities, with a total construction area of approximately 8,300 square meters, will further improve power supply in the capital.
