Project Overview
The Nyakato Substation, located in Mwanza, northwestern Tanzania, is a key hub in the national transmission and distribution network. With the rapid growth of industrialization and urbanization, electricity demand in the region has been rising sharply. To enhance transmission capacity, optimize the grid structure, and ensure reliable power supply for both residential and industrial users, Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) launched the Nyakato 220/132/33kV Substation Expansion Project.
