Project Overview
The third rubber processing plant of the Chinese company Mainland Group in Côte d'Ivoire was officially put into production in October 24 with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons and is expected to be completed in 2025. The group put into production its first rubber processing plant in the southern province of Dabou in 2020 and completed its 200,000-ton flagship plant in the western province of Dukoué in 2022. Côte d'Ivoire is the largest rubber producer in Africa. Here, natural rubber is regarded as "white gold". From raw latex to high-value-added products, Chinese technology is helping the West African rubber industry reshape its value chain, not only providing key support for Côte d'Ivoire's industrial upgrading, but also paving a road to prosperity for local rubber farmers leading to a happy life.
