Project Overview
The Koisa Hydropower Station is located on the Omo River in southwestern Ethiopia, about 500 kilometers from Addis Ababa. It is the fourth hydropower station in the country's Omo River cascade development. It is the largest single-unit capacity hydropower project exported to Africa by a Chinese brand, with a total installed capacity of 1,800 megawatts and an estimated annual power generation of 6 billion kilowatt-hours after completion.
